Brehm Design provides a variety of design services for individuals and organizations; from commercial to residential architecture, from brief design consultation to complete sets of construction drawings.

I have been involved with design since entering the architecture program at the University of Notre Dame in 1984. This involvement has included employment with several architecture firms, as well as teaching positions at four universities. I received my Master of Architecture degree at the University of Oregon, and I am currently an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Idaho.

At Brehm Design, the act of design is not limited to one discipline. While architectural design has always been the primary focus, I actively pursue other creative avenues as well. Landscape Design, Graphic Design, Custom Artwork, and Web Design ... to me, all are related and all provide creative opportunities. I view any design work as inclusive of all relevant areas of exploration and expression. From this belief, it follows that my efforts at Brehm Design are broad-based, and they reach into a variety of interests.

Teaching is a very high priority for me. I believe that to be a strong teacher, one must be constantly learning and sharing information with others. Without an intense passion for learning about people, history, buildings, etc., I would find it very difficult to convey the importance of these realms to students.

While this web site is the online home of Brehm Design, the business, it is also a place for me to establish a web presence for all of my design- and teaching-related pursuits. The site is currently undergoing some changes, but if you have any questions at all, please feel free to send an email.
